9 Night Cruise sailing from Bergen to Greenwich aboard Fram.

On this voyage you will experience magnificent nature, historical sites and cultural heritage. We explore the Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord and take in the breathtaking views and visit the small villages before we cross the North Sea to visit ports of the "Vesterled"; Shetlands and Orkneys where we find a strong Norse heritage. From here we sail southwards towards London, and on our way call at Edinburgh and Newcastle.

DAY 1 Bergen, Norway

We depart Bergen in the evening. Bergen is an international city with small-town charm, surrounded by seven mountains. The city is best known for its picture-postcard Bryggen district, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 2 Ulvik and Ullensvang, Hardangerfjord, Norway

We arrive at Ulvik in the morning hours. The key attraction in Ulvik is its apple orchards and the region is famous for its apple juice and cider. Ullensvang is situated across the fjord, and in this romantic and peaceful community you can find one of Norway's finest outdoor museums,
Agatunet, which is home to 30 listed buildings with some dating back to 1250.

DAY 3 Flľm and Luster, Sognefjord, Norway

We arrive at Flľm in the morning. Flľm is known for the spectacular 20-kilometre Flľm railway between Flľm and Myrdal, one of the steepest railway tracks in the world. Luster holds the natural beauty of waterfalls, peaks, lakes and woods. Here we find the UNESCO-listed Urnes
stave church dating back to 1150, making it the oldest in Norway.

DAY 4 Balestrand, Norway/at sea

Balestrand has heritage to protect and show to its visitors. One of its sights is Kvikne's Hotel built in 1877 with an imposing façade in the Swiss style. In its many lounges you can see beautiful paintings by well-known artists.

DAY 5 Lerwick, Shetland Islands, UK

Lerwick is a bustling seaport and by far the northernmost town in Scotland. In the surrounding area we will find some of Shetland's most attractive scenery and an extraordinary concentration of archaeological sites, including Europe's best-preserved broch (Atlantic roundhouse) and two remarkable Iron Age villages.

DAY 6 Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, UK

Kirkwall is the largest town and the capital of the Orkney Islands, dominated by the famous St. Magnus Cathedral. The first mention of a settlement is in a saga from 1046, and the name Kirkwall derives from the Norse word Kirkjuvagr (Church Bay).

DAY 7 Leith (Edinburgh), Scotland, UK

After London, Edinburgh is the most visited city in the UK. Explore mysterious winding streets, elegant terraces and an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. From the well-known Edinburgh Castle, you will have a magnificent view of this cosmopolitan city surrounded by beautiful landscape.

DAY 8 Newcastle, UK

Newcastle has recently re-invented itself as a cultural centre and Science City, and is possibly one of the trendiest places in the UK. This together with the close proximity to outstanding areas of beauty has made Newcastle an up-and-coming tourist destination over the past few years.

DAY 9 - 10 Greenwich (London), UK

London is one of the most popular travel destinations of Europe, because of attractions like Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral and the historical Westminster Abbey. Stay overnight and disembark from the ship in the following morning.
