Genoa
A beautiful port cradled between land and sea.
Cradled between land and sea and with a working port, the Italian vacation destination of Genoa on the west coast of Italy displays its past through her many palaces and the surrounding ancient terraced hills.
Genoa has many different faces; at once a modern metropolis and a rigorous custodian of artistic heritage, as well as an industrious marketplace with centuries-old parks perfect for relaxation.
Genoa hides her riches in an historical centre that looks traditionally seaward yet at the same time exhibits a new beauty achieved by restoring the splendour of ages past.
Barcelona
A wonderfully vibrant city and a cultural and artistic centre.
Barcelona is Spain's second-largest city and the capital of the Catalonia region.
Lying along the Mediterranean coast , Barcelona is the leading industrial and financial centre of Spain as well as its main trade and tourist port.
To the northwest, a set of hills run parallel to the coast and in the southwest, the old town lies along the port divided by attractive tree-lined boulevards known as Las Ramblas.
Barcelona is a wonderfully vibrant city and, having been a cultural and artistic centre since the Middle Ages, really makes for a fantastic day away from your luxury cruise liner. With so much to see and do you are guaranteed to have a memorable day off ship.
Casablanca
Art Deco architecture fused with North African elements.
Forever immortalized by the classic movie of the same name, Casablanca is Morocco's modern metropolis.
Casablanca grew rapidly from a small settlement into a sprawling city of three million and even though it is not one of the famous imperial cities, Casablanca offers visitors a rare experience.
Everything is bigger here: the streets, the hotels, the office blocks and the slums. The people themselves say that; "Casablanca has no memory and no past, only a future."
A rich heritage of Art Deco architecture fused with North African elements acts as a tangible reminder of the city's French colonial past.
Santa Cruz De Tenerife
The showcase of Spanish culture.
Located just off the coast of Africa, Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary Island archipelago.
The island name literally means white (Ife) mountain (Tene) in reference to the year-round snows found on top of the country's El Teide volcano.
From its warm weather and beaches to art galleries and museums, Tenerife has a wide variety of attractions that showcase the Spanish culture present here since the late 1400's.
Funchal
Discover The Floating Garden That Is Madeira.
The great Portuguese poet, playwright and author, Julio Dinis famously described Funchal as; "The sea on one side, the mountains on the other, and between these two majestic splendours, the city smiles like a child sleeping, safe and warm, between its parents".We can't think of a prettier and more inviting introduction to this beautiful Atlantic haven.
Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira is the very soul of Portugal .
Settlers over 500 years ago were attracted to this sheltered spot, which is set in a natural 'amphitheatre'. Gentle slopes, abundant with flowers, rise above the pretty harbour to almost 1200 metres.
The magnificent bay of Funchal, with its glittering blue waters is home to the port, just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Thanks to its strategic mid-Atlantic location, Madeira has been an important stopping point for ocean-going liners for many years and was an important port of call for the routes on cruise ships between Europe and Africa and America.

Piraeus (Athens)
From Piraeus to The Parthenon and the 'Plaka' Athens is a 'Must-See'.
"Athens, the eye of Greece, mother of arts and eloquence" so wrote Milton in his poem Paradise Regained, and Athens truly is a city of 'art and eloquence'.
Your Greece cruise really begins to take shape when your MSC cruise ship docks in the port of Piraeus. If you're not heading straight for Athens you could do worse than opt for a seafood lunch at one of the many excellent harbourside restaurants. And, don't be put off from ordering a glass of wine because you once tried Retsina and didn't like it, the pine barrels used to make Retsina make it something of challenge for Northern Europeans, but Greece has many excellent wines that are well worth trying. Naturally the fish is as fresh and delicious as anything in the Med'.
Athens is dominated by the flat-topped hill of the Acropolis site of the Parthenon, one of the most famous classical monuments in the world. Even today it's simple perfection represents one of architecture's outstanding moments. A Greece cruise will introduce you to the unique charm that is Athens. It may be choked with traffic and burdened with a mountain of debt but its lively character will seduce you and the thousands of other visitors who flock here every year! Street markets, vine-covered taverns, souvenir stalls and ancient monuments are all part of Athens, making it a unique cruise destination.
A tour of the historic sites is a must here; choose from the Acropolis, Parthenon and archaeological museum or admire the views and ancient temples in old Cape Sounion. For those who prefer a gentler itinerary, our panoramic tour of Athens takes in the main sights with photo opportunities from the comfort of your coach.
Cruise passengers that really wish to immerse themselves in ancient Greek history can step back in time during our 'voyage to ancient Greece', which includes an un-missable stop at the brand new Acropolis Museum.
You can then return to the ship with a suitable souvenir to remember your holiday by, as well as a lasting sense of wonder.

From St Marks Square, with its ancient Basilica, lavish Doges Palace and imposing bell tower, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs this is a city of breathtaking beauty. To get a different perspective on Venice take a boat to the Island of Murano (home to the famous glass blowers) or join an excursion package around Venice itself.

World-renowned for its canals and bridges, Venice is visually stunning, thanks to its higgledy-piggledy array of palaces, churches and colourful, narrow streets.
