Adventure of the Seas

12 Night Cruise sailing from Southampton roundtrip aboard Adventure of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International have taken cruising to a whole new level. Enjoy one-of-a-kind features like an ice-skating rink, the Royal Promenade and a rock-climbing wall just for starters. How did they accommodate all of these innovative ideas on one cruise ship? Simple. They built a bigger ship - the 138,000-ton, 3,114-guest Adventure of the Seas. Innovations on this and other Voyager-family cruise ships add up to more space for every guest and include enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and exceptional recreational facilities.

Highlights of this cruise:

Southampton
One of the world's most famous ports, Southampton served as the launching point for the Mayflower and the Titanic. Today, it's one of the busiest passenger ports.

Oslo
Oslo is the oldest of the Scandinavian capital cities and has a varied collection of cultural attractions and natural wonders. Situated at the head of a 60 mile (96 km) fjord on the southern coast, Oslo is beautifully framed by a vast expanse of woods, moors and lakes. Today, Norway's capital is a blend of 19th- and 20th-century architectural styles. Woodcarvings and colourful frescoes decorate the city's buildings, and the parks and public squares are resplendent with unique works of sculpture.

Tallinn
Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is one of the oldest cities on the Baltic Sea, founded in 1154. Its Old Town has remained remarkably unchanged for the past 600 years, making it one of the most attractive cities in Europe. The reconstructed Rotermann area is located very close to Old Town. Today's Tallinn is also a thoroughly modern capital filled with parks, museums, sports centres, hotels and cafes - a city certain to suit almost every traveller's tastes. Many national events are attracted to Tallinn because of its designation as the European Capital of Culture in 2011. Tallinn is a city certain to suit almost every traveller's tastes.

Helsinki
Helsinki is the sparkling capital of Finland, an elegant city of spectacular architecture, beautiful gardens and harbour side parks. The Finns have long been admired for graceful design and imaginative architecture. Many styles from centuries past and present are represented here, from medieval to neoclassical, as well as the superb ultra-modern creations by Aalto, Saarinen and other Finnish masters.

Zeebrugge
Zeebrugge is a port in northwestern Belgium, 10 miles north of Brugge and 60 miles from Brussels. Interestingly, it is actually an 'artificial port', built because the existing marine channel to Brugge at the time had become clogged with silt. Because of its strategic location, Belgium has often been targeted by opposing military forces, which has contributed to Zeebrugge's rich history. In 1918, during World War I, British naval forces sank block ships in Zeebrugge's harbour to block the entry of German submarines. In 1944, the entire port was destroyed by the retreating Germans.
