Puerto Carrillo, Costa Rica
Puerto Carrillo is a tiny fishing village situated along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica's Guanacaste Province. It is known as a jewel among Pacific beaches, with turquoise waters, white coral sand and row upon row of coconut palms. Rocky headlands at both ends and an offshore reef protect the bay, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Puerto Carrillo is located approximately 8 kilometers from Samara, a popular beach and vacation spot. Here visitors will find a small village located in a large half moon bay with a pale sand beach. The area is also excellent for swimming, diving and snorkeling.
