Phnom Penh Cambodia
Phnom Penh is located on the confluence of the Mekong, Bassac and Tonle Sap rivers.
Its name means 'The peral of the East' and the city was built by the Frenck with wide avenues. Despite the Khmer Rouge period the city has come back to life and many of its ancient buildings have survived, icluding the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and national Museum
