Manuel Antonio National Park is a small National Park located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, just south of the city of Quepos, Puntarenas, and 132 km from the national capital of San José. It is the destination of as many as 150,000 visitors annually and well-known for its beautiful beaches and hiking trails.

The white sand beaches within the park are bordered by jungle and free of litter. Hiking in the park is popular, as is wildlife watching and nature adventures. The principal habitants are primary forest, secondary forest, mangrove swamp, lagoons and beach vegetation. There is quite a varied fauna with 109 species of mammals and 184 of birds. The park includes 12 little isles just off the coast, migrating whales can be observed.
