Lipari, Italy
Lipari is the most developed and populated of the Aeolian islands, located about an hour from the north eastern corner of Sicily. Mt Chirica towers above the town, providing extensive views, and where the museum houses the best collection of neolitic culture in the world.

Travel Links - The main moorings on the island are in the town of Lipari, which is served by two ports: Marina Corta is used by the hydrofoils and by smaller craft, while ferries moor at Marina Lunga. From here, it is easy to get to the island's other towns, that are Canneto, Acquacalda, Quattropiani and Pianoconte. It is advisable to tour the island by car or bike, also available at various hire places.
