Situated in Duval County, in northeastern Florida, Jacksonville stands in the great double loops of St. John's River, next to the Atlantic Ocean. Its locals often know Jacksonville as 'JAX', after the city's nearby airport.

Port Location -Jaxport Cruise Terminal is located in North Jacksonville approximately 7.5 miles from downtown Jacksonville.

Transport Links - Jacksonville International Airport, greyhound buses and Amtrak trains provide links to other US destinations. A variety of bus services operate in the city and an elevated train system, called the Skyway service operates between downtown destinations. Taxis are readily available throughout Jacksonville, however car rental is a better option.
