Grand Cayman (George Town)
The Cayman Islands-a British Crown colony that includes Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman is one of the Caribbean's hottest destinations, world-renowned for two offshore activities: banking and scuba diving.
The manicured capital of George Town, which bulges with some 554 offshore banks, offers great diving, shopping, dining, windsurfing, watersports, golf, dancing, and more. The other two "sisters" are far more laid-back, with Little Cayman catering almost exclusively to the scuba divers that flock there for translucent waters and a colourful variety of protected marine life.
Grand Cayman is party island. As the largest island, it attracts 99 percent of the tourists, most of whom flock to hotel-stocked Seven Mile Beach. Georgetown is an eclectic place that has a remarkable mix of architecture, from traditional British, to modern styling. Their banking and investment laws makes the Caymans the 5th largest financial center in the world.
