Fjordland National Park, New Zealand
The Fiordland National Park is one New Zealand's most famous tourist destinations. It is located on the south west corner of New Zealand and is made up of large and majestic fiords including Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound and Te Anau. The area boasts rugged terrain , mountainous fiords and a picturesque coastline, and is almost entirely covered in bush.
Te Anau is the gateway to the Fiordland National Park and is located at the southern end of Lake Te Anau, the second largest lake in New Zealand. Milford and Doubtful Sounds are situated north of Te Anau and are known for their hundreds of waterfalls during the rainy season. The area is home to a population of bottlenose dolphins which interact with boat tours. Other wildlife includes fur seals, penguins and an abundance of sea creatures.
