Alicante, Spain
Alicante is the capital of the province of Alicante, located in the Valencia region of Spain. It is an historic Mediterranean port ranking as the eighth-largest metropolitan area of Spain. It is also one of the fastest-growing cities in Spain, famous for its excellent weather and as a starting point for tourists to the Costa Blanca coast.
With many historical buildings around the entire city, Alicante offers countless sightseeing attractions, from cathedrals to churches and of course a wonderful harbor area. Along the harbor there are beautiful long alleys for nice relaxing walks, enjoying the palm trees and the mild climate. Direct from the harbor area is a long wide sandy beach leading its way up to San Juan.

Port Location - The port is centrally located in Alicante's spacious harbour, along the Esplanada de Espana.
Travel Links - The Alicante Airport (ALC), connected by many international airlines, is located 11 km (6.8 miles) south of the city. Alicante is served by Iberia, German Wings, Spanair, Air Berlin, Finnair, TUI Fly, and Easyjet. Bus No C-6, departs for the city every 45 minutes from Bus stop No 30; it takes about 30 minutes.
Trains run by RENFE from Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona daily go to Alicante Train Station, located in the city centre.
Direct ferry links exist between Alicante and Ibiza, and Palma de Mallorca.
