15 Night Cruise sailing from Ft Lauderdale to Rome aboard Celebrity Silhouette.
High design. To the power of four. In 2011, Celebrity Silhouette joins our award-winning Solstice Class, delivering the same cosmopolitan style that has made her sister ships famous, from stunning interior spaces to sweeping veranda views in 85% of staterooms. With specialty dining venues that rival the best five-star spots on land and a host of enriching onboard programs, we've created an unprecedented ship experience. Again.
Highlights of this cruise:
Ft Lauderdale
This port city has been called the "Venice of America" due to a comprehensive canal network where you'll find gondolas docked on the Himmarshee Canal off Las Olas Boulevard. Enjoy extensive strolling, shopping, and dining opportunities, as well as the best of sand and sun.
Cococay
Right in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, CocoCaySM is secluded and subdued. Tepid waters as clear as glass make this an ideal location to take advantage of all the aquatic recreational opportunities available. Snorkeling, jet skiing, and relaxing on the sand are all sanctioned and encouraged activities. There's even a replica of Blackbeard's pirate ship if you want to dry off for a little while.
San Juan
While San Juan is a vibrant, modern port city, it also has one foot anchored proudly in the past, dating back to its time as a Spanish colonial outpost. Many of the old structures, including forts and cathedrals, date back to the early 16th century and the conquest by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1508.
Philipsburg
St. Maarten has two sides-a French and a Dutch. You can stroll along the magnificent beaches for hours, browse the endless French boutiques and duty-free shops, or visit sights like the cliffs and caves of Cupecoy Beach.
Funchal
Funchal, the largest city on Madeira island, is known as the "Floating Garden" because of its remarkable variety of vegetation, fruit, and flowers. Everywhere you look you'll find sprawling scenic splendor, from the deeply gouged cliffs to the lush, verdant valleys reminiscent of parts of Hawaii.
Rome
Civitavecchia was settled in 108 A.D. by the Emperor Trajan and has since served faithfully as a gateway to the capital of the Empire-Rome. Once the center of the Ancient World from which emperors ruled over nearly all of western civilization, Rome is still a cultural mecca. Stroll the ancient halls of the Colosseum or gaze upon the ceilings of the Sistine Chapel.
