9 Night Cruise sailing from Bristol roundtrip aboard Discovery.

The 20,186 grt Discovery has eight passenger decks, is stabilised and air conditioned, and is the perfect size for accessing more remote ports of call. In preparation for her debut CMV programme, Discovery is undergoing extensive refurbishment. Facilities include the Carousel Lounge, where you may enjoy colourful floor shows performed by our artistic show-team or the talents of one of our guest entertainers. With its panoramic views, Palm Court is a delightful venue to relax and watch the world sail by or to chat with fellow passengers after another wonderful day ashore. By contrast, the Discovery Lounge is the place to be for late night cabaret and to dance the night away. Discovery offers traditional two sitting dining in the Seven Continents Restaurant or, as an alternative and subject to weather conditions, buffet style meals at the Lido. In addition, Discovery provides a shopping gallery, internet centre, a cinema/lecture lounge, card room and well stocked library. Be pampered with a massage or sauna, make use of the hairdressing and beauty facilities, or work out in the gym. She offers extensive deck areas, two swimming pools, two whirlpools and a pool bar.

Cruise Overview:
Look forward to some wonderful Norwegian scenery on this springtime cruise to the beautiful fjords. Glide through deep blue waters and discover dramatic landscapes where snow-capped mountains rise majestically and waterfalls cascade over granite cliffs. Visit the heritage towns of Stavanger and Bergen. This exciting springtime cruise takes in some truly beautiful locations allowing you to view the scenic splendour of the Norway's fjordland. As Discovery gently glides through the calm, blue waters of the fjords, you'll see snow-capped mountain peaks piercing the sky, deep valleys punctuated by charming towns and villages and magnificent waterfalls cascading over granite cliffs. The historic heritage towns of Bergen and Stavanger provide a fascinating contrast.

Sailing from Avonmouth, enjoy life on board as you sail north around Cape Wrath heading for Norway. You first call at Stavanger, one of Norway's oldest towns, where the cobbled streets and preserved wooden houses of Gamle Stavanger evoke memories of its shipping and fishing heritage. The next morning, a brief stop is made at the little town of Ulvik which enables those passengers taking the overland tour to Eidfjord to disembark. Cruise the splendid Hardangerfjord with a call at Eidfjord and the option to visit the Nature and Wildlife Centre and Vrringsfossen, probably Norway's most famous waterfall. Flľm, at the end of the Aurlandsfjord, is the terminus for the Flľmsbana - the famous mountain railway which climbs to a height of 866 metres passing through 20 tunnels. A ride on the Flam Railway could be the highlight of your cruise. Leaving Flľm, Discovery cruises the dramatic Næerryfjord where, from the ship's rail, you may view delightful Gudvangen. By contrast, today is spent in the old Hanseatic town of Bergen with its historic Bryggen area and busy harbour-side fish market. Perhaps take the Flribanen funicular for a spectacular view. Enjoy two relaxing days at sea as you sail home.
