MSC Musica
MSC Musica

9 Night Cruise sailing from Buenos Aires roundtrip aboard MSC Musica.

Cruises on the MSC Musica ship embody Italian sophistication and elegance. Our luxury cruise experience aboard the MSC Musica includes spacious staterooms and suites, the majority with private balconies for outstanding views. This wonderful liner offers guests a host of magnificent meeting areas and a glittering array of facilities. Be dazzled by the central foyer on MSC Musica, aglow with a three-tier waterfall and piano suspended over a crystal floor above a pool of luminous water.

Further chances to shine abound in the Crystal Lounge, the fine Havana Club cigar lounge, stylish Kaito Sushi Bar and restful Zen garden, not to mention the superb Italian dining facilities. The elegant design and spacious facilities on MSC Musica also encompass an Internet Cafe, library, casino and shopping arcade. And for more active pursuits, she offers a tennis court, jogging track and two swimming pools, plus a pool and play area for kids. And with MSC Musica journeying to exotic cruise destinations such as Greece, Croatia and Brazil, you will soon feel in true harmony on whichever cruise you choose!

MSC Musica is the first of MSC Cruises' 'Musica-class' vessels. She became the belle of the ball in Venice on June 29, 2006 where a display of lights and colors celebrated the inauguration of MSC Musica. With Sophia Loren - the ambassador of Italian elegance worldwide - as her godmother, MSC Cruises' MSC Musica is one of the best examples of sophistication and luxury yet.

Highlights of this cruise:

Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and although it may be the wealthiest city in South America, it is also rich in culture, music and the arts.

As your luxury MSC cruise ship pulls into the newly modernised cruise terminal, the soaring skyscrapers of the world's ninth largest city hint at the elegance and energy that this cosmopolitan city and important cruise destination holds.

Ilha Grande
llha Grande is an island located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and renowned for its natural beauty: tropical beaches, luxuriant vegetation and rugged landscapes.

Ilha Grande is one of the best-preserved areas of Brazil 's Atlantic rainforest, making it one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in the world and a hotspot for biodiversity and conservation.

The island's status as a world protected area means Ilha Grande has remained unspoiled and undeveloped - much of the land is covered by the Ilha Grande State Park and the rest of the island is subject to stringent development restrictions.

As a result, the island has no roads and is a car-free zone. However, small-scale ecotourism is encouraged; the protected seas around the island hold a unique mix of tropical, subtropical, and temperate-zone marine life so lucky visitors will be able to witness coral and tropical fish along with penguins and Southern right whales - probably the only place in the world where this is possible.

Rio de Janeiro
Many first-time visitors to Rio will be keen to view the city's major landmarks, such as the giant statue of Christ (Christo Redentor) which is located on top of Corcovado Mountain or Sugarloaf Mountain, a granite monolith also situated in the city.

Nature lovers will be bowled over by the beauty of Tijuca Forest, which, at 32 square kilometres is the largest urban forest on the planet. Indeed, many beautiful attractions abound in Rio, not least the city's famous beaches, from the Copacabana to the Ipanema, two of the most glorious stretches of white sand and perfect for a spot of sun lounging!

If you're hungry for a real city experience, opt for the grand tour of Rio de Janiero (note to football fans - whatever team you support, a trip to Maracana, the largest football stadium in the world, is a must see).

Ilhabela
Ilhabela, located in Brazil is an ecological rain forest reserve. The name Ilhabela means 'beautiful island' and this wonderful holiday destination along MSC Cruises' South American itineraries certainly lives up to its name. Much of the island lies within a state reserve and development is highly restricted.

The island's economy relies on tourism yet Ilhabela achieves a harmonious balance of natural beauty and interesting sights to see. In this way, this island literally has two 'sides' - on one you'll find fabulous restaurants and gourmet dining (the island is reputed to have the best shrimp in all Brazil) together with entertaining nightspots as lively as anywhere else in the country.

Punta del Este
This eastern spit of land separating the Atlantic Ocean from the Rio del la Plata has come a long way since it origins as the small fishing village of Cabo Santa Maria.

Today called Punta del Este, this area is known worldwide as a scenic resort area with miles of beautiful beaches, luxury hotels and restaurants, glittering nightlife and fashionable summer residents.

For decades, Punta del Este was an exclusive resort for wealthy South Americans, and although it remains pricier than other destinations in the area, it is still more affordable than comparable European cities.
