Mallorca
The largest island off the coast of Spain, this Balearic island of Mallorca has been inhabited for many thousands of years, and Palma is its capital. Palma has in recent times transformed into not only a tourist-friendly destination, but one that has become a favored summer vacation spot for Spanish royalty. It's deservedly famous for such natural wonders as its golden-sand beaches, tall pine groves and towering cliffs. The landscape is as varied as the northern mountains and the southern flatlands with their almond and olive groves. Among the many must-sees are a Gothic castle, a 13th century cathedral and the former palace of Mallorcan kings.

Barcelona
Barcelona is a city known for its world-renowned architecture, boasting monuments Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance in style while also captivating visitors with its incredible modern architecture. Don't forget dining, too. Barcelona is a feast for the eyes and the palate, alike. Sights to see: Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Sagrada Familia Cathedral and Port Vell.
