15 Night Cruise sailing from Dubai to Hurghada aboard Deutschland.

If you enjoy luxury and personalized service, we have something wonderful for you. At a time when new ships are carrying thousands of passengers at once, when endless corridors stretch as far as the eye can see, when neon masquerades as glamour, we offer you a "Grand Hotel" reminiscent of the golden era of cruise travel. We offer you MS Deutschland, dedicated to your comfort, pleasure and complete satisfaction.

The MS Deutschland is a true ocean liner, newly constructed in 1998 to accommodate only 513 guests. She is exquisitely appointed and graciously designed to facilitate relaxation and ease. This vessel reintroduces the elaborate crystal chandelier, the imperial ballroom, loom chairs in a palm filled winter garden, fine antiques and original works of art. The decor of our "Grand Hotel" evokes the splendor of the Edwardian period and the Roaring Twenties through the use of brass, marble, tiffany ceilings and resplendent upholstery in the lounges. Beautifully appointed staterooms, an elegant Roman Spa, wide promenades and lots of teak complete the setting.

MS Deutschland has been created primarily for the Northern European traveler. However, discriminating individuals from around the world are invited to enjoy her gracious ambiance as well. We look forward to welcoming you aboard.

Highlights of this cruise:

Dubai
Dubai is one of the most modern cities in the world; this city was a fishing and pearling village less than 50 years ago. The architecture of its modern buildings and sky scrapers is the finest in the Middle East. Sightseeing within the city center is split mainly between Deira, on the right bank of the Dubai creek and historic Bur Dubai on the other bank. Deira, is home to the best shopping and is the business and commercial centre of the city. Bur Dubai has less of a bustling atmosphere and is home to a number of tourist attractions, including the Dubai Museum, Grand Mosque and Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum's House.

Khasab
The Governorate of Musandam, in the far north of the Sultanate is a rugged, mountainous region, formed during the Cretaceous and Miocene ages, 1850 million years ago. The mountains originally constituted part of the Zagros Mountain range, but with earthquakes and volcanic activity, separated to form the Hajar Mountain range.

Musandam is divided into four wilayats: Khasab, Bhuka, Dibba and Mudha.

Khasab is the furthest north of the wilayats and overlooks the Arabian Gulf in the northwest and the Gulf of Oman in the east. The landscape is dramatic, with towering, craggy cliffs and a fjord-like coastline. The area has a number of attractions, one being the Castle of Khasab which dates back to the era of Al Bu Said. It was renovated by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in 1990.

There are also a number of towers: Al Siba; Kabas Al Kasr; and the tower of Said Bin Amad bin Sulaiman Aal Malik which is the remains of what was a huge fort.

The principal occupation of the Khasab inhabitants is fishing, followed by animal husbandry and agriculture.

Salalah
Salalah is the capital of Dhofar province, which is the southern region of the Sultanate of Oman. Lovely parks and groves of banana, papaya, watermelon and vegetables give the city a tropical atmosphere and have earned it the name Garden City.

The Dhofar region has been known for centuries for the production of frankincense. The narrow belt and the mountain range benefit each year from the southwest monsoon winds, which are an unusual feature for the Arabian Peninsula. The moisture-laden winds bring rain from the end of June to August. Heavy mists blanket the coast and mountains during these months, creating lush, green hillsides, cool temperatures and the perfect environment for frankincense trees to grow. Behind the mountain range lies the hot desert, unaffected by the monsoon, and the domain of the hardy Bedouins and their camels.

Along the coast lie miles of uncrowded beaches, bordered by a brilliant blue sea. Other attractions include ancient forts, archaeological sites, fishing villages and the tombs of prophets. While it is mainly the rugged landscape and the beaches that appeal to visitors with a penchant for unspoiled locales, the modern and fast-growing city offers an interesting museum, architectural highlights such as the Al Husn Palace and colorful, bustling souks, where everything from frankincense and fragrant perfumes to gold and silver jewelry is sold.

Most of all, Salalah has to be appreciated as an off-the-beaten-track location and for the uniqueness that marks the Dhofar region.

Hurghada
Hurghada is a city in the Port Said Governorate of Egypt. It is a leading seashore resort located on the Red Sea coast. It stretches for about 36 kilometres (22 mi) along the seashore, and it does not reach far into the surrounding desert. The resort is a destination for Egyptian tourists from Cairo, the Delta and Upper Egypt, as well as package holiday tourists from Europe.

Today Hurghada is divided into three parts: Downtown (El Dahar) is the old part; Sekalla is the modern part, and El Korra Road is the most modern part. Sakkala is the relatively modest hotel quarter. Dahar is where the town's largest bazaar, the post office and the long-distance bus station are situated.

Hurghada has become an international center for aquatic sports like windsurfing, kiting, sailing, deep-sea fishing, swimming, and above all snorkeling and diving. The underwater gardens offshore are considered some of the finest in the world. The warm waters here are ideal for many varieties of fish and coral, which may also be observed from a glass bottom boat.
