4 Night Cruise sailing from Lyon roundtrip aboard Camargue.

DAY ONE: LYON
We board in Lyon around 6pm at the Claude Bernard Quay and settle into our cabins. We are introduced to the crew over a welcome cocktail before dinner on board and an evening of entertainment. We moor for the night.

DAY TWO: LYON - TAIN L'HERMITAGE
We set off on our cruise early this morning and have buffet breakfast on board as we cruise. The entire morning is spent afloat as we head along the Rhone Valley, passing the vineyards of the Cote Rotie, Condrieu, Château Grillet and St Joseph. We have lunch on board and arrive around 2pm in Tain l'Hermitage, where the best known of the local wines, the renowned Hermitage vineyards, are located on the hill overlooking the town. This hill is topped by the Chapelle St Christophe which seems to stand guard at the entrance to the valley, and offers panoramic views over the town and vineyards. We have the opportunity to join an optional wine tasting in one of the fine wine cellars, where we can taste some of the famous wines of the region. We return on board for dinner and an evening of music and dancing. We moor for the night.

We have lunch on board and arrive in Lyon in the early afternoon, where we have free time or an optional guided visit around the city. Afterwards, we return on board and set sail to our next stop - beside the "Paul Bocuse" restaurant at Collonges au Mont d'Or. We make the journey by coach to the "Abbaye de Collonges" (1), the large and impressive reception hall of Paul Bocuse. Here we are served a dinner in the purest French culinary tradition, in the Grand Limonaire room of the abbey, accompanied by music from a lovingly restored organ dating from 1900. We return on board around midnight.
