Highlights of this cruise:
Strasbourg
Take a walk around the historic district known as 'Petite France' which reveals a picturesque area with numerous well-preserved old timbered houses. The majestic Gothic cathedral towers in the center. The famous timber-framed house 'Pharmacie de Cerf' is located adjacent to the cathedral square and as well as the imposing "Maison Kammerzell', an old burgher house with an ornamental and sculptured fassade.
Rüdesheim
This lovely town has been a magnet for romantics ever since the early 19th century. The historical monuments, romantic winding alleyways and the rolling hillside vineyards are a treat. Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet houses one of the world's largest collections of self-playing, mechanical musical instruments.
Koblenz
Germany's cultural offerings are second to none. Its opera, symphonies, galleries, museums, architecture, nightlife and historic sites are as rich as any in Europe. Outdoors, the north coast beaches are popular summer resorts. In summer the scenic mountains and Black Forest draw hikers, climbers and campers; in winter, skiers.
