Dining

Fine dining is an essential part of your Saga cruise. The team of chefs and waiters work tirelessly to ensure the food is of the highest standard, cooked to perfection and impeccably presented. Only top quality and fresh ingredients are used and a variety of dishes are served so all tastes are catered for.

There is a wide choice of places to dine. You can take breakfast and lunch in the main restaurant or you may prefer to help yourself to the buffet in the Lido Café. When the weather is fine, you can dine alfresco on the Lido Deck so that you can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while you eat.

Your evening meals are served in one leisurely sitting in the elegant dining room. Other great cruising traditions are afternoon tea and the midnight buffet, which is served in the Lido Café. 24-hour room service is also available, so you can enjoy refreshments in your cabin at any time.

Dress Code:
Dress code on board is generally informal. However, because of the nature of cruising, many passengers enjoy the sense of occasion that more formal wear brings in the evenings. There are therefore three evening dress codes:

On formal evenings ladies tend to wear a long dress, cocktail dress or evening trousers, and men wear a dinner jacket or tuxedo (if preferred, a dark lounge suit and tie may be worn).
On informal evenings, ladies usually wear a less formal dress or trousers, and men choose from a lounge suit, sports jacket or blazer with a tie.
On casual evenings, ladies wear an informal dress or trousers, and men an open-neck shirt and smart casual trousers.
The daily programme advises the dress code for each evening. The following is a guideline for the formal occasions you can expect:

Number of nights on board: 4 7 14 21
Formal nights: 1 2 3 4
